I am an experienced leader, manager and communicator having worked for M&S and the NHS. To name a few career highlights, I have helped over 30 managers secure promotions under my leadership, and have gone on to perform jobs of high importance.
I have also developed and delivered NHS services for Long COVID, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain- the last of which I have lived experience. I have worked on the development of national workforce plans for the Nursing and the Perinatal Workforce in Wales and I currently am a Performance Management Lead in the NHS.
I am not just an NHS professional, but a campaigner for the NHS, campaigning for enhanced local hospital services as well as for solutions to our GP surgery problems! I also serve as a Director of the Xcel Project which includes managing Carmarthen Foodbank.
I have not ever earned a penny in politics, but I am passionate about the difference that politics can make to people’s lives. I am especially passionate about the levelling-up agenda, seeing education as the means to breaking generational poverty, and reducing inequalities between the generations as well.
In my personal life, I am married to Katarzyna and we live just outside Cross Hands. My interests include playing football rugby refereeing, playing cricket and worshipping in my local church.
Fun fact: I recently refereed in the Principality (Millennium) Stadium!
